Re-opened in 1999 and employing over 70 staff, the Shopping village, Museum and Conference centre hosts nearly 400,000 visitors a year and is a shopping location like no other. Built in stunning red brick by Sir Richard Arkwright in 1783, the refurbished Mill is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty looking directly over the banks of the River Derwent at Matlock Bath. Masson Mills really is a unique shopping experience presenting 60 different retail concepts set over 5 floors and all under one roof. Looking for a place to meet and treat then the Derwent restaurant is the destination for you. Chat over a cup of Costa coffee with home baked cakes or scones. Fancy something home cooked from our hot plate specials menu ? there's a different special every day or a lite bite, try a favourite filling in our oven baked Jacket potato, a Panini or plated sandwich We can tempt you with our now famous Tea for 2, offering a 3 tiered cake stand with a selection of freshly made sandwiches with salad, freshly baked scones with jam and cream , cup cakes and tea or filtered coffee all for only £9.95 see if you can finish it all, we have take away bags for those that can't.

Set in 6 beautiful acres, Masson Mills is the gate way to the world heritage site and is joined to the working textile Museum. We have safe secure parking for upto 200 cars in our multi storey car park and we are open from 10.00a.m until 5.30 p.m Monday to Saturday including bank holidays and open from 11.00a.m to 5.00pm Sunday's only closing Easter Sunday and Christmas day.

If you haven't heard already, we have brought back to Masson Mills 1940's style swing dancing after 60 years. We entertain 160 dancers the first Friday of each month with the best live swing Band in the Midlands, Ashby little big band playing all the favourites in jazz and swing including Glen Miller, Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman and many more. For only £5 a ticket, which includes sausage and chip supper, you'll have the best Dance night out in Matlock and surrounding area. Denise, Gemma, Jennie, Julie, Carl and Pam. The Boys and the crew were treated to Carl's home made Lasagne, salad, garlic bread and chips which they polished off in double quick time. Si and Dave then very kindly spent time out of their busy filming schedule to have a chat and pose for some photo's, we had a really good time and they were both down to earth and genuine just like on the telly.
